Heritage Display Cabinet

Discover our heritage display cabinet, located in the main floor lobby within the Gallagher Centre, showcasing a rotating collection of historical events and stories from Yorkton.

Currently featured in the display cabinet is "Saskatchewan Winter Games: Fifty Years of Fun, Sport, and Snow". Fifty years ago, the Youth of Saskatchewan were brought together under the banner of friendly, wintery competition.

About Broadway and Back

“Broadway and Back” is an interactive video walking tour where you can explore Yorkton's historic old town centre. The tour functions closest to an audio tour, with a more in depth approach to the history through a video lens. Participants experience history merging with contemporary life through video and archival photographs. Enhance this tour by purchasing "Pioneer Ways and Bygone Days" tour book.

The tour starts at the intersection of Broadway Street and Myrtle Avenue. The tour takes approximately 30-40 minutes.

About Time Machine Tour

"Time Machine Tour" is an interactive video that immerses viewers in Yorkton's rich history and evolution over time. Participants engage with changes in buildings and landmarks, from Parkland Mall's transformations to Walmart's design evolution. The tour delves into the city's railway past, historical buildings like the Balmoral Hotel, and Yorkton's cultural diversity, including its Ukrainian and Filipino communities.The tour takes approximately 30-40 minutes.
